Olguens Joseph was identified as the person who killed 4-year-old Ivan Christopher Pierre with a car at 165 Wood Avenue on July 18 before he sped away, according to the Boston Police Department. The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for his arrest on Monday.
Joseph is charged with:
- Motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation,
- Leaving the scene of personal injury and death, and
- Operation of an unregistered/uninsured motor vehicle
Police said Joseph hit Ivan Christopher Pierre around 9:30 p.m. and drove away. Cameras captured his car speeding down Harvard Street after the crash. Paramedics rushed Ivan Christopher Pierre to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
